Discovery failing to cover severe cases of Breast Hypertrophy.

Two years ago when I was 16, I visited a plastic surgeon to evaluate my body form, because I have size 34E/F cup breasts and want a reduction to relieve back pain, neck pain and severe discomfort and emotional agony. I wear no 6 pants and weigh 55kg, so I am not overweight at all.

The surgeon related to me that he does not easily operate on a 16 year old girl, but that my case is severe and he recommended the operation ASAP. He provided me with a motivation letter to Discovery, but this was declined. Discovery did phone my mom to inform her that the company will not cover cosmetic operations.

I believe that the reason for my operation is mainly to relieve discomfort, pain and emotional scarring due to harassment and teasing from men, referring to my breasts in a degrading manner.

Discovery, I have read many reviews here from women who had the same unsympathetic and completely naive response from you. This is unacceptable. There has to be allowance for severe cases like mine.
