Discovery Essential Smart plan is a ****

I am very unhappy with Discovery Med.Aid. If you had a 0 rating this is what I would give them. The Essential Smart Plan is daylight *******!! It is the only plan I could afford not knowing that when they say 100 percent hospital cover, it is a big fat lie to get customers. In May 2024 I was admitted to hospital to trauma with a severe back problem. I was treated and discharged after 6 days ..No operation just treament!! Discovery refused to pay for the hospital, blood tests and for The Mri scan .I app**** for PMB benefits which was also rejected.I can understand there are exclusions but every cost is excluded.I am a pensioner and I have to pay more than R50 K and still pay for my med.aid , I simply cannot afford this so I am now cancelling my med.aid, taking a loan to pay for my bills.

Disgusting med.aid who eat poor people's money.
