Discovery does not pay for childs X-Rays

<p>Our Son injured his hand. Our GP referred us to the hospital to have X-Rays done as it was suspected that he could have broken his hand. On submission of the claim for a measly R850 odd from the radiologist for the X-Rays, Discovery promptly declined to pay this with the reason that "our son was not admitted to the hospital as a casualty", and this should be on my own account. I am actually disgusted as to how this was reviewed, and subsequently rejected based on the above reason. I am actually VERY worried now that I am on a medical aid that DOES NOT have their member’s health in their best interest, and all they want to do is save a buck here and there wherever possible! I am Utterly Disgusted and sickened by this experience… Sis on you!</p> <p> </p>
