Discovery does not pay claims. Ask yourself why would you have a medical Aid that has proven over and over that they will almost always first reject a claim. Rejection notifications have no contact number or email to query or even an explanation of why it was rejected. Just sorry not paying (again). You have to then find the correct call center number to call and hold for ages only to be asked unreasonable information for them to access the claim on their system. Dont expect anything less than 20min of your time being wasted only to be told there was some minor error on the claim which of course you have to go and try to get fixed to only resubmit and go through the entire process again. Also note than even after I got Discovery to call the medical professional and the error was corrected as per Discovery's own instruction, was the claim still rejected. Also note this has happened to me on numerous occasion and to friends and family. The free smoothie is not worth it.
