DISCOVERY DOES NOT KNOW HOW TO TREAT THEIR CLIENTS

On the 22nd January 2015, I called in as a result of sms received from Discovery wanting to keep me as a client after I have given a month's notice due to my retrenchment. The consultant said that I need to complete an affidavit, unemployment letter and retrenchment letter, I did this and it was sent through on the 22 January, Ref ***, I received no response from Discovery, I then called in on the 30th which is 5 working days later, A consultant by name of Shane assited me, he didnt know what was going on and made me hold on to check with finance, he then comes back to me and states that Finance states there is still an income coming into my account, I then explained my retrenched severence pay was being paid out till end of Jan, I then submitted my retrenchment agreement and a letter from my company to state the same, ref *** / ***, I received no repsonse, I then called in that afternoon and still no response, I sent an email on the 2nd Feb, ref ***, no response! I then called in today and after speaking to 3 consultants got put through to Siseko, who now tells me that I will remain on highest income bracket as we dont know what UIF is going to give me

Hello BRENDENMARK,

Thank you for speaking to me.

As discussed, due to a backlog in the processing of Keycare Income Verifications, there was a delay in responding to your request. I understand that this was a matter of urgency given that your membership with your employer had ended. I am sorry for any frustration and inconvenience caused. I confirmed that your membership has been reinstated and you have been placed on the most appropriate premium level based on the information received. I sent you an email with further information regarding your query.

Please let me know if you require any further assistance.

Kind regards
Bruce
