Discovery does not cover maternity benefits!

In December last year me and my wife found out that she is expecting our first born. We went to the doctor that is in our network and we did some blood tests to confirm pregnancy and that she has had some injections as a kid against measles etc. The next day she got the results and it was positive but wanted to do one more blood test as one of the counts was very low so she wanted to see if this will pick up. Again the next day it came back and all was good. Doctor Koekemoer referred us to a network Gynaecologist and Obstetrician Dr. J. ****ichowska, Practise number *** for our first scan. We asked if we had to get authorisation from the medical aid and she said no and showed us on Discovery authorisation forms that we did not need to get for pregnancy related matters. We also only had to let Discovery know that she is pregnant on 12 weeks. As per their website info as well. They also called Discovery and they confirmed this. (Ref nr ***).<br> Our appointment was booked for 5 Feb for our first scan at the Gynaecologist. But then on the 13th of January my wife started bleeding. We rushed her back to our GP that immediately notified Dr J Peilichowska that we will be coming thr
