Discovery do not pay when you need urgent brain scans!

I went to hospital with a stiff neck and vomitting. As i am a doctor myself i was worried that this could be something serious. The casualty doctor who saw me thought that i had meningitis or a subarachnoid haemorrhage and ordered an urgent ct scan. i was then admitted into hospital where i had 2 mri scans and stayed for three days.<br> Discovery has refused to pay for my ct scan and only paid for the mri scans after numerous phone calls and fights. I find this shocking as i am on classic comprehensive which is one of discovery most expensive plans and my policy states discovery will pay for scans which are done as part of an approved admission.<br> When i contacted discovery i was told that they could not help me. terrible coverage and terrible customer service. It seems discovery spends all the money on rewards programs but falls short when it comes to medical coverage!
