DISCOVERY DISABLED **************

I have registered on the Discovery HIV program since 2015 with an interruption during 2016. Initially the HIV Program was administered by Med Express who took care of me ie, consultants continuously phoned me concerning my health and well-being as well as monitoring my CD 4, CD8 and viral load counts. Med Express also delivered my ARV's, Purback and Vitamins on a monthly basis to my home address. Discovery then went into a deal with Dischem and from then on forward I had to collect my medicine. Med Express as an added bonus delivered my medicine to me as I am blind and cannot travel to collect my medicine and since Discovery took over, I now need to make special plans to collect my medicine. As you can deduct from the above information, I am blind, unemployed, a white male, and above 50 Years of age and therefore I live from my inherited savings. Discovery is currently taking R15 825.00 as my monthly installment on my medical aid ie R189 900 per year and what aggrieves me greatly is that since Dischem took over I now need to pay in whenever I collect my chronic HIV medicine.

It is an utter shame that Discovery treats me in this manner, and I am of the opinion that they are nothing but money wolves depriving the unemployed, disabled of a living. It seems to me that they are only worried about their share price as they boast about their good results and increase in their share price.
