DISCOVERY DEDUCTING TOO MUCH FROM OUR BANK

Today is the 18th of November 2016, Discovery deducted a contribution for 2 members on 1 November 2016 after I left the scheme end October 2016 and the only member on the scheme was my fiance. After being on the phone for about an hour trying to explain to the operator that when I joined on 1 June 2015 as a dependant on my fiance's medical aid, the contribution was deducted at the beginning of the month, therefore we were paying in advance. She indicated that the medical aid decided to change over to deducting the premiums in arrears and did not think to notify us, as they did not want to trouble us. No indication was given as to when this change over was done. When I challenged her statement, she indicated that the premium of November 2016 that was deducted was not yet processed on her system, but that she can see that it looks like an overpayment. I then asked her to make a note on the system as she said the finance department need to assist me further and I have to sent an email. This was done and the reply I received was that the November 2016 premium was to cover October, being the premium was in arrears. So, back to square one. Now I have to go stand in a long queu at the bank to request my bank statements and proof to them the premiums collected since June 2015. It is so frustrating and time consuming!
