Discovery declines a life threatening Matter

I am very disappointed in Discovery medical aid . My son of 3 years has been sick for the past week and admitted in the hospital, he had a very high fever and vitals were not fine , he has been on drips and antibiotics all week and they found out that he has tonsils on stage 3 and they need to be removed in order for him to be okay . Discovery Health advised that they agree that my son is very sick and they would just approve but have to get approval from underwriters and then said they had to escalate to their Doctors. I didn’t get the call as promised and had to call back , upon calling back I am told that the request is denied as it’s an exclusion , I asked what must happen to my son and they advised it’s between me and the Doctor, which is very insensitive. I am currently pregnant and using their medical scheme , I don’t have hope that any of my kids will be catered for . I am currently 7 months pregnant and have to run around and always take this child to surgery or hospital because he will never be okay until this issue is sorted out . I lost faith and don’t think me and my kids are in safe hands with Discovery medical health.
