Discovery Death

<p>I joined Discovery Health medical aid as of 01 dec 2016, and on my application i indicated on the tick box that i had a chronic condition for which i was currently on medication for...my application was approved with no waiting period (all documents available) and when i wanted to register for cover for that medical condition i was told that i had a 12 months waiting period because i, apparently ticked on the incorrect box on my application. I find that excuse very flimsy and Discovery hiding behind a technicality...upon my application when it was discovered that i had a chronic condition, the company should have made investigations or at least called me to find out what it was prior to approving without waiting periods...for the amount of money i pay monthly, i feel that i have been denied fair value for it and i am being sidelined due to a technicality whereby i had disclosed that i had a pre existing condition...This medical scheme will rather wait for me to die before assisting me...Shocking Service</p>
