Discovery day to day extender a HOAX

You know, I used to be on such a wonderful plan with Discovery, it gave me access to the extender benefit to use when my savings have been depleted.... Which I don’t use, but hey… it is nice to have for when you do need it……This is so awesome.. this adds value!!! But wait.......... “Discovery: in order to use this benefit I will first need to make it difficult for you to use, you first need to visit a sister clinic to get access to a doctor….. if the sister can’t help she will refer you to a virtual DR…. if the virtual DR cant help you they will refer you to a face-to-face GP in their network” I mean seriously, I know the sister can't help me, so she will need to refer me to the virtual DR, I know the virtual DR will need me to come in.. because you know what… last week I have already done an online virtual consultation, received antibiotics and my prognosis is the same… I have had shortness of breath for the past 4 weeks, my glands, lymphnodes and thyroid are still swollen and my throat is sore.

So basically what discovery is telling you is that you will probably have to die first before we let you use this benefit- sweet and simple.

With everything getting more expensive… let's not talk about the medical aid fees… I now need to see if I can “***- out” R500 for a doctor consult because it is pointless using this day-to-day extender.

So if I am still alive for 2024 I need to reconsider Discovery as it doesn’t add any value to the monthly amount that I pay, I have never really used my Medical aid except for my Maternity and the rest is all from my Savings. – I have been with Discovery for a Years, even banking through them. But hey…. Look at the bright side… I am just one individual, why would they care- if you're not happy…. Just leave… we don’t care. As long as you pay you are ensured…. And heaven forbid if you don’t pay we will terminate your medical aid.
