Discovery ******* money hungry hartles

Over the last 3 to 4 years I have been struggling with extreme fatigue. It reached the point in the last year that drinking 3 energy drink in a row couldn't keep me awake at work. During this time I went to numerous doctor to get this resolved without success , as all of them told me its my wieght thats cause this and yes I am considered morbidly obese no amout of exercise did anything to my weight . The only thing it did was draining me to the point that 20 squats left my completely drained and mentally unable to focus with no & active memory to work with. One doctor went as far as to tell me I need to see a psychologists about my issue of my unwillingness to loose weight. In conjunction with the fatigue Id get sick alot and ended up needing antibiotics almost every 3rd to 2nd month.

2022 arrived and out of pure desperation I went to a doctor that is covered under my medical aid. With pure luck a new doctor started working at the practice. She was willing to listen. She sent me for a list of blood test unfortunately my medical aid didn't cover all. I ended coughing about R1300 out of my own pocket. But I got answers. I was put on treatment still not covered by my medical aid. But for the last 3 months I haven't been sick once. I have dropped 1.5kg . And I haven't had an energy drink in the 3 months! I have my life back.

Thus I decided to send my wife to the same doctor to get helped. To my shock the doctor wasn't allowed to send my with for blood tests as she was flagged by the medical aid DISCOVERY that she sending to many patients for blood tests! And she's not allowed to anymore at the moment as the practice medical aid rating will be affected!!!!! But all her patients that she sent for test something was picked up, and finally getting treatment!

I was shocked!!!!

Basically discovery is not interested in getting anyone health. They want you to stay sick. Coughing money for the medical aid and still paying out of your own pocket for medication that you need to stay healthy.

But they arnt thinking about the amount of antibiotics that is covered that gets dispensed month after month that they pay for. Or the fact that eventually patient get so sick that they pass away and discovery looses that income. Such short term greedy outlook!!!!

For the safty of the doctor that help me I will not state her name!

I hope and pray that a medical aid openes up that actually has their customers health at hart. This is a pitch I will be giving to my employer. I might be at the bottom of the company but they do have the potential to start a medical aid. I have no guarantee that they wil ever do it. But if there is a small chance they do Ill pitch it! As maybe they might help others As I have been helped!

As for discovery ? You have lost your way. You are a disgrace to medical aids!
