Discovery continues to not read emails properly

I am fed up with Discovery's inability to properly read emails. This is at least the third time I am posting on Hellopeter about Discovery's inability to READ documents. Each time they are very apologetic, but they never fix the root cause.

We had to submit a claim this morning for the third time: each time with exactly the same documentation. It seems Discovery's systems are full of error in claim processing at the moment. After the first submission, we received an email stating that they only received proof of payment. This was incorrect as the original email had at all 3 invoices as well as proof of payment.

After the second submission, we received notification that the practice number was invalid on the invoice for 5 May and hence that the claim was not processed. The invoices are in precisely the same format with the same practice number, so we are finding it impossible to locate the source of Discovery's problem.

This morning I had to resubmit the same email, for the third time. The impression that this leaves with Discovery customers is that the medical aid scheme is either employing people who are unable to read or is searching for ways to avoid payment. Take your pick..

Hello bsager13,

Thank you for your comment.

I tried contacting you the numbers we have on record however you were unable to take my calls. I investigated the details of your query and confirm that the claims you queried have been processed and a daily claims notification was sent to you on 21 May 2015 and 22 May 2015. I understand you had experienced problems after the first submission of your claims for processing. I am sorry for the recent service you experienced during the processing of your claims and for any frustration caused. This is being further investigated internally to identify the cause of the issues and to avoid a similar occurrence in future. I have sent you a detailed email with feedback on your query and a copy of your claims statement which confirms the processing of your claims.

Kind regards
Bruce
