Discovery consultants falsely advising clients and unfair premium deductions

Really considering on moving my family onto another Medical Aid. Towards the end of April 2019 I called Discovery to alert them on suspicious activity on my husband's bank account, so much so that the debit order may be unsuccessful. Now I'm sure any human can relate if funds are suspiciously removed from your bank account, a payment will be unsuccessful due to not having enough funds... Not everyone earns big salaries sadly. During alerting them of this issue I was advised to wait 7 days from the 1st of May before enquiring on making direct deposits . I waited as advised and sadly the debit order did bounce, but on the 6th of May my husband the main member gets an email our medical aid has been suspended... Fair enough I know this would happen, but why suspend or communicate on the 6th of May 2019 when I was told to wait 7 days after the 1st... Shouldn't such suspension have taken place after the 7th of May, coz then you guys are falsely informing your customers of timeframes... I also noticed, I took my baby who is a dependent on my husband's medical aid to the doctor sometime in April 2019, yet claims for such visit only take effect in May 2019, now I'm sorry but shouldn't a claim of any sort be done on the day or at least 1 day later to that date the person visited the GP who is covered entirely on the medical aid plan?

Because my Medical Aid was suspended on the 6th of May 2019, obviously neither the main member or dependents may be able to use the medical aid... But because a claim was supposedly put through a month later, it looks like we used the doctor in May 2019, when we didn't.

I think it's pathetic that if you don't get to use your medical aid truthfully in a whole month, why should we get charged???

Now due to affordability reasons, in early May 2019, I the spouse contacted discovery to enquire about removing myself permenently from my husband's medical aid, I was informed if I can get my husband the main member to contact the call centre before the 24th of May 2019 to have me removed, such can effectively be done by the 31st of May, and new Premium will be deducted on the 1st of June 2019. My husband works for a busy employer so only managed to contact the Discovery Call Centre on the 23rd of May , which was still sufficient as our deadline given by your consultant was the 24th of May... My husband was also informed the new premium will be removed from the 1st of June 2019.

Now this morning something told me to call your call centre to verify such actions, and this new consultant now advises me that the new premium will only be deducted from the 1st of July... This is really ridiculous as once again your consultants are falsely informing your clients of Information.

The only reason I requested to have myself removed was due to affordability coz we couldnt afford a double debit, totaling to almost R8000, I mean that's a person's salary now a days, and like most, we have two small children to feed every month as well. I think it's ridiculous you guys firstly want to charge for a full month truthfully not used and then still keep falsely informing us of information ...

Would you guys rather have me just continue to ignore payments and eventually take this matter legal because of your consultants lacking knowledge of the medical aid and how the premiums work?

I can assure you I'm on the verge of cancelling immediately with Discovery and going elsewhere and I can assure you I have alot of people who will follow me as well .

I truly hope someone can contact me to try and resolve this issue?
