Discovery Claims - Not paid for emergency with 85 year old!

My dad (85 years old) has been paying subscriptions monthly with no claims for the past 2 years. (Over 10 years of membership there was one instance of hospitalisation 2 years ago). On the 30th of March he had a fall and was bleeding, as well as having signs of stroke. We therefore took him to the nearest hospital (which was not an associated hospital). He had an MRI to ascertain if he needed admission as well as X rays to determine if there was a beak in his hip as he couldn't walk. We then needed to transfer him to an associated hospital once safety was established. The first issue was none of the associated hospitals had space. We had to phone a number of hospitals (including phoning ourselves as we had a useless nurse at the hospital we were at) and eventually got a space 65 km from our home. And now, despite numerous phone calls to explain (I spent an hour on the phone in one instance). Discovery is not paying for the initial emergency MRI or Xrays done to determine safety as well as need for admission, in addition to possible emergency treatment for stroke (due to stroke symptoms). As a healthcare provider myself, I would like to spend my time providing healthcare and not on the phone sorting out non-payment for something that should have been paid. I would really appreciate this being sorted out!

This was rep**** to with the standard apology. Forms and motivations were requested. This was submitted, and a response received was that feedback would be provided in 2 to 3 business days. It has been 6 business days and there has been nothing.
So I am sitting back at square one with no response, and hence my resorting to this platform once again.

IT has now been a month, and no response. Not from this platform, and not from the email sent to Discovery. What horrible disregard for patient care.
