Discovery claiming for claims they did not pay out

Do you have my details? Because you didn't ask for them. How are you going to investigate?

I've contacted an attorney to take this matter up, because I have all the proof that what you're claiming either was kept by you or paid cash by me and rejected by you. Yet here we are, because you employ thousands of people, but not a single person is smart enough to do basic accounting.

My previous company only received the refund from December with this month's statement, so now I have to pay back the savings amount my spouse used last year - but that savings amount on the statements is not correct (we only received R 2008 in medical savings for him as an adult dependent) and all other claims submitted were rejected. We paid all his claims that weren't paid out of savings cash I have proof of claim rejection and proof of payment from my bank account). So the medical savings amount you say we owe for Shane for 2024 is incorrect.
The claims statements I have show an amount of R 2135.85 for claims paid from savings - which I will double check with the providers because not all our claims were paid in full. So nowhere near the R 2950.59 stated. All claims that couldn't be paid from savings were rejected. We paid those out of our pockets.

Then in January my previous company did not pay our medical aid, so it was suspended. There were 3 claims paid out of savings before the medical aid was suspended, and these amounted to:

1 x Dr's visit - R 596.40 (02/01/2025)
2 x Pharmacy claims - R 557.14

Gives you a total of R 1153.54

So if I add together R 1153.54 + R 2135.85 (disputed) that equals = R 3289.39

This is R 2314.59 less than what Discovery claims I owe.

ALL OTHER CLAIMS AFTER THE 2ND OF JANUARY 2025 WERE REJECTED DUE TO MY PREVIOUS EMPLOYER NOT PAYING THE PREMIUMS FOR JANUARY. I HAD TO PAY ALL THOSE CLAIMS OUT OF POCKET, SO YOU CANNOT CHARGE ME FOR SOMETHING THAT YOU AS A COMPANY DID NOT HAVE TO PAY JUST BECAUSE IT WAS SUBMITTED TO YOU. YOU SENT ME REJECTION LETTERS FOR THESE CLAIMS YOU NOW WANT MONEY FOR. YOU ARE ATTEMPTING TO ***** MONEY UNDER THE GUISE OF "CLAWBACKS" - BUT YOU NEVER PAID THOSE CLAIMS. SO EITHER DISCOVERY IS IN FINANCIAL DIFFICULTY AND YOU ARE TRYING TO ****** MONEY FROM EX-MEMBERS, OR YOU CANNOT DO PROPER MATH.

It is wholly unfair of your company to list me with a credit bureau for an amount that is disputed that your credit department never got back to me on after I contacted Discovery multiple times to get this sorted. You ignored my request and listed my details with TransUnion because YOU DIDN'T BOTHER GETTING BACK TO ME.

Please put me in touch with your legal department so that I can give my attorney their details so we can settle this matter before an unbiased judge who can do proper calculations, since you employ hundreds of people in finance, yet none of them can add or subtract.

I gave all my claims documents to my attorney + your letters of demand, the dates on which I contacted you to dispute this, and the email stating you listed my details with TransUnion. We will sort this out in court because internally you are uncapable of resolving this matter and cannot agree on the difference it seems.

Please bring your paperwork, I'm going to get my Discovery statements, statements from the providers you paid & the pharmacies involved, and we will have to get an accountant suggested by the court to do the math.

Account has been handed over to collection agents and I still don't have the claim statements.
I'm not paying collection fees. This still isn't resolved.
