Hello everyone just want to share my story about discovery health care been a member since 2018 till now 2026 started on key plus then moved up to essential saver then to coastal saver , oh wait also had gap cover with Discovery. In December 2025 my rhs wisdom teeth started impacting my mouth

I contacted Discovery they told me it's cosmetics they don't cover but I can use my savings. Proceeded to pay the dentist R4000 out my own pocket . I then emailed Discovery thinking they would refund me in full oh no 🤦♀️ only got 3600 return which didn't bother me as much but here comes the best part. So I have now cancelled my plans with them. Yesterday received a letter saying I owe then R2356.76 I was furious 😠 called in they said it's because I laid a claim used most of my savings for WISDOM teeth remember cosmetics , we as humans are born with extra molars ?? Well most people . So yes I paid them the money 💰 I recommend anyone looking to join a medical aid discovery please don't bother 😉 with this company rather look else where for your own sake /pocket. Penny wise pound foolish .

You have to pay because you cancelling your policy don't be caught out like me.
