Discover sees aggressive growth as cosmetics

I am beyond words disgusted with discovery. I have been on the key care plus plan for 5 years now. And about a year and a half ago I noticed a lump in my neck. I went to my house Doctor to have it looked at. He suggested that we try and resolve the issue with medication wich did not work. And a few weeks ago the lump started to grow rapidly and become very painful. I went back to my house doctor he then referred me to a surgeon. The surgeon then said that the lump needs to be surgicaly removed. But then discovery decided that i do not need to have this 5cm lump in my neck removed and declined the surgery as suggested by my surgeon. Apparently they see it as a cosmetic surgery. I did not know that a aggressive painful growth in your neck is considered cosmetic. So if the lump in my neck turns out to be tumor or worse thanx for the help discovery.
