Discover Premium exploitation

Situation: Discover attempted to adjust my KeyCare Monthly Premium from R1460 to R3600 based on my income for the past 3 Months. When i told them that this is unaffordable they re-adjusted to R2600. So I was forced to pay that contribution to them until I sorted out the matter!

I am absolutely Appaled at how exploitive Discovery have acted with their new monthly premiums. Choosing to change people's medical aid payments based on their income is just plain ********. I see that I am not the only one who has fell victim to this scandalous attempt to swindle more money out of their clients. This is a company that wants to Tax people like the ****** Government and squeeze every single penny out of you. As a business they are allowed to make a profit and solve a problem. But, I have really begun to question their Ethical and Moral considerations when choosing to adjust their claims this way.

Have Discovery not considered that People choose plans based on what they can afford on THEIR OWN PERSONAL household expenses??

I am so grateful that I had a broker to assist me through this so that we sorted out the matter. This is a highly stressful and uncalled for situation. My patience is running thing and I have started to consider medical aid alternatives!
