Disclosing private information to stranger

I app**** for the Discovery gap cover. On Friday I was phoned by a lady whom assisted in the questions. I had mentioned that when I sometimes stress my heart has pulputations. I then spoke to the manager and as I told him and the lady after I WAS NOT DIAGNOSED NOR TREATED with any medical heart condition. Hence then answering no the heart related question. Only to recieve an email asking for a written statement to explain my heart condition. Not only that but Discovery also added my FATHERS email and Ccd his details. He is not even on our medical plan and not even part of my life! Why on earth would you CC someone who has NOTHING to do with your medical plan and give private information on the email!? Unacceptable Discovery!
