Disappointed by Discovery not covering my procedure .

I’m currently on an essential saver plan with discovery .I required a particular surgery (in hospital day case) which my plan does not cover because the surgery is considered “cosmetic “. The problem I have is not cancerous but has caused an infection and will only get worse in time . Now I have to seek alternative means to pay for my surgery and yet I pay for a medical aid every single month which now can’t help me when I need it the most .Not everyone can afford the higher and more expensive plans with less exclusions. What’s the point of paying for something and still having to couch up more more money because your procedure is not “covered”! .I’m angry and disappointed that my medical aid cannot help me in my time of need and they don’t actually care at all ,yet month after month they take their contributions from me without a fail .Why should I have to fund my own medical costs when I already have a medical aid ?.Why are so many procedures not covered on the lower plans ?Its just so disappointing,now I’m left having to find other means to pay for my procedure,it’s so unfair .
