Disappointed

I ended my medical aid from 1 March 2018. I was a member of discovery medical aid for 13 years before that. My husband was unemployed and so we could not afford it anymore. He has now found permanent employment and I want to re-instate my membership but I suspect I might be pregnant. They just told me that because I have been off the medical aid for 4 months not 3 they wont cover a pregnancy for 12 months. Now the dilemma is I cant afford to pay medical aid and then pay for childbirth as well. I am really disappointed as I was a member for 13 years. What happened to all the reserves and profit that discovery made off me for those 13 years but cant make an exception of one month!
