Disappointed

I joined discovery last year in September and was told I would receive my medical aid card shortly I never received my card and had to call them several times to determine when I would be receiving it. Finally one of the consultants informed me I could go directly to their offices and collect my card after having waited almost 3 months. While waiting for my card I sued my membership certificate to consult in September, I assumed that the doctor was paid only to get a claim letter in December that they had not be paid. The only reason I even received the email was because I had contacted discovery recently, they never had my email address on record even though I had put it on my initial application form. The claim was not paid due to insufficient funds and I was advised that I could apply for a special claim in the new year. I app**** for this in January 2015 and supp**** all my documents but received nothing from Discovery. My claim was only attended to after I called Discovery a week later. I was then informed after this whole ordeal that because I have been with the medical aid for less than 12 months I was not entitled to this claim. This is very disappointing.
