Disapointing service from Discovery

On 23 Nov 2021, I app**** to have my husband added as a dependant to my medical aid scheme. I then got a email with a letter of acceptance but with a 25% penalty. When I questioned this, I was told that my husband was not on a medical aid for the past 11 yrs. On 26 Nov’21 I sent through a Discovery certificate showing that my husband was on medical aid from 1 April 2015. On 27 Nov’21 I got a call from a Discovery agent asking more about a previous condition that my husband had. We gave her the details and she said I would get another letter from Discovery. I then got an email on Monday 29 Nov’21 with a new offer saying that my husband has been approved for medical aid but at a 5% penalty fee because he has not been on medical aid for 1-4 yrs. Which is total BS because he was on my medical aid from 1 June 2019 to 31 Dec 2020. And when we was on that medical aid with me I was not asked any questions and did not have to pay a cent towards any penalty. I want my husband to be on my medical aid from 1 Dec’21 and I am still awaiting Discovery to get back to me on this approval. I have given them all the relevant info in order to prove that he has been on a medical aid and therefore I do not see why we should pay a penalty fee. I am really disappointed in the service, turn-around time and lack of detail that Discovery is handling this case with. Can someone get back to me as a matter of urgency so my husband can be on the medical aid from tomorrow – 1 Dec 2021.
