DISABLED PERSON NOT ASSISTED
What's the point of paying expensive medical aid (Essential Plan) every month when they won't process a claim for wheelchair parts I can't get anywhere in SA since the beginning of 2020. No wheelchair place or bicycle shop has the parts I need. I had no choice but to order over seas and pay expensive shipping cost and exchange rates. How am I supposed to get around without my chair when I live alone. This is a need that affects my life that I can not live without. The agent tells me she can't process because it was not bought in SA. surely there should circumstantial assistance for cases like mine. the agent had no compassion. now I am paying a huge medical bill and still covering the costs myself. Then I can just as well change to a different medical aid that will assist that will be much cheaper anyway.
You called but basically, with the same response you had before and my problem was not resolved.
That you can't process based on your system requirement regardless of the circumstantial needs.
Basically, it's not your problem that I am stranded and can't use my wheelchair. Even if it is an assistive device. That no one else could provide me with parts.
You don't that I had to take money from my daily living expenses and pay a huge medical monthly payment.
