Diabetes cover excluded

I joined Discovery in September of this year and declared that i hve been diagnosed with Diabetes Type 2 more than a year ago. I am now on medication to ontrol the condition and have altered my lifestyle so that the condition is managed. My last doctor visit confirmed that i am handling the new lifestyle well.<br> <br> Discovery informed me that i would be facing the below penalties.3 month waiting period before GP visits can commence. This i understand. I cannot claim for my existing condition for 1 year as i have not been a member of a medical aid for just short of two years. This i find ridiculous.I have been attending a GP at my own private cost for the period before i joined discovery medical aid to manage my condition. This is a condition that when managed is not considered life treatening. I am now paying Discovery R1770 monthly for a benefit i cannot use. I then have to fork out an additional cost of R289 a month for my medication with another R350 on a six monthly basis for a doctors visit to renew my presciption and to do my vitals check to make sure i stay on track. So i will be paying Discovery R20928 for the year with no benefit to me.All i want is to add my meds to Chronic
