Denied Over R25: My Discovery Health Shock

My MSA currently has R25 left. Discovery offers an extended day-to-day benefit that’s supposed to assist you with a virtual GP or nurse consultation at Clicks or Dis-Chem when your savings are depleted. Yesterday, I went for a virtual appointment and paid R395 out of pocket. When I submitted the claim to Discovery, they rep**** saying that because I still had R25 remaining in my MSA, they were denying the claim.

WOW. I’m honestly appalled. They advertise an extended service, yet hide behind terms and conditions that leave the consumer at a loss. Absolutely poor service from Discovery Health, especially after being a loyal member for 8 years.
