Decline necessary pre-op procedures and no surgery

Been with Discovery for more than 12 years with few claims. Paid for conventional treatment since Oct. 2014 - including anti inflammatory drugs. Cost of MRI Scan and specialists only this week was more than R12000. Family history of death due to heart disease of 4 relatives under age 50, I am 45. Spinal surgery scheduled for 23 Feb on condition admission on 22 for treatment with anticoagulants, blood tests and ECG to manage risk of death in surgery. Pre admission declined and Thiso confirmed only reason is to avoid paying for this. Will be paid if done on 23d even if too late for treatment to manage risk. NO OTHER MEDICAL AID HAS A PROBLEM TO PAY FOR ADMISSION THE DAY BEFORE SURGERY FOR THIS. I can't walk properly or sleep and must choose to either take the increased risk to die in surgery ( the surgeon won't), pay the bills my medical aid covers but is cleverly avoiding by not authorizing it, thus preventing the specialist to do the surgery, or live with this pain for the rest of my life.So I guess suicide would be the only option...BEING ON CLASSIC CORE IS ONLY HAVING EMERGENCY COVER. AND FOR MILLIONAIRES WHO CAN PAY FOR EVERYTHING ELSE. THE WORST MEDICAL AID IN SOUTH AFRICA!!
