Debited R19872
My first debit order is supposed to go off on 1 July 2015, but on 1 June 2015 Discovery debited almost R20 000 from my account for heaven knows what. Their service (not sure if it is because of the broker) has been nothing but cumbersome and annoying. Then they send out a letter apologising for duplicate debit orders...I should not have a debit order this month to start with...and R20 000 isn't double anything...its more than 4 times what a normal debit order should have been.

03 Jun 2015, 16:32Hello Jax1979,
Thank you for your comment and for speaking to me about the concerns you raised.
As discussed, due to an administration error the start date of your membership was captured with date of 1 July 2014 instead of 1 July 2015. This resulted in backdated premiums being requested and the erroneous debit taken on 1 June. I wish to offer my sincerest apologies to you regarding this. I can confirm that every precaution has been taken to ensure that this situation does not happen again and the matter has been addressed. I confirmed a refund has been requested and in the process of being paid to you. I sent you an email with further details on your query and thank you for your understanding in this matter.
Kind regards
Bruce
