Dad in trouble

I recently found out that I am expecting a baby. Unfortunately I was too late to add them on my medical aid. I luckily got a new job and that meant I could request my funds from my medical savings and pay for my child to be delivered at a decent facility. I request an urgent withdrawal on my savings so I can close my current medical aid and re-open a new one with my dependents. I am advised that it would take 5 working days for the funds to be released. I receive no communication from the discovery team for those 5 days and I assume all is well. I give a call after 5 working days and I am told that my claim is not processed. I am sitting on 7 working days today and no funds in my account. I call Discovery to find out that my claim was only processed a day after I called them on my own discretion and I must just accept that my claim was processed late for no obvious reason. I have to now try book my fiance in a government hospital to give birth as the money I need to pay the private hospital is stuck with Discovery finance with no explanation. I have never missed a payment on my medical aid but today I am struggling to get my funds. What's worse is I was about to re-apply with the same Discovery for me and my dependents... I am not sure I want to do that. I am kicking myself for opening a discovery bank account and switching my salary to them. Believe me this not what expected for such a reputable company. My advice to everyone is "all that glitters is not Gold"
