My father signed for Discovery Keycare on the \ACO\" unemployed, no state grant, no bank account, earning less the R260 a month in Feb 2015. All was approved. This year he was asked to supply supporting docs to this effect again which he did. WITHOUT any NOTIFICATION Discovery decides that this Jan they are going to start debiting my Gran(who is widowed and lives off a pension from my grandfathers estate)OVER R1000 a month for his medical aid instead of the R400 odd charged before. I called and after 40 minutes on the line with your call centre you have the CHEEK to tell me that ACTUALLY he never qualified for this category BECAUSE YOU CHANGED THE CRITERIA, and so you honoured it fora YEAR before changing it with no notification?? BULL! The criteria now states in order to qualify for this category, over and above what he already is listed above, he MUST NOT get any support from his family, even if not financial (so no plate of food no roof overhead) and you cant be a late joiner? SO...To qualify you must LIVE ON THE STREET, have had medical aid directly before hand and pay for it yourself without earning an income!! YOU OWE US AN EXPLANATION this is ******* - lying and NOT ETHICAL"
