Consultants are a problem

I called on Wednesday evening to obtain a pre-authorisation number for my upcoming birth. I have been an individual member with Discovery for years and last year September moved from being a main member to a dependent on my husbands profile. I was told on Wednesday afternoon by a consultant that it would take 8 working hours to get back to me because they need to check on whether I qualify for authorisation, that alone annoyed me but none the less, it is not Friday and I still do not have any response. I'd hope that the medical aid we contribute thousands to every month had some sense of urgency but no. <br> I call this morning to the normal consultants to inquire about what your agreements are with the Origin hospitals. Had the pleasure of speaking to Miss know it all, who condescendingly informed me that I am only allowed to go to certain hospitals due to my plan...agreed. My question was not whether or not she would allow me to go to another hospital, my question was based on the relationship or agreement you hold with a specific hospital. The call was around 09:09 today, please listen to it and explain to her she doesn't need to be condescending. Customer service 101 lessons needed
