Confused, Is Everything Really About Money?
Where do I begin, I'm rather disappointed with Discovery Vitality.
My husband and I have been clients of Discovery for years, we have life policies, retirement plans and Discovery Vitality.
We make full use of our Vitality and I recently called as I wanted to sign up my 2 kids for Vitality and sign them up for a Club V membership at Virgin Active as well.
I canceled my Virgin Active membership sometime this year, as I wasn't getting a chance to go to the gym. Being a working mom with 2 under 2 and a student, life got too hectic and I decided to cancel my membership as I felt I was wasting money.
I started working out at home, bought a walking pad and weights and so my fitness journey continued.
When I called in a few days ago, I wanted to reinstate my membership, the Vitality agent then said that my membership is active on the system and that I just need to ask Virgin Active to reinstate. When I called VA, they said I need to sign up a new membership and pay a R600 joining fee, as my membership is not active.
I was told that the R600 fee cannot be waived and my question to Discovery is why?
I've been a client for years, you have all my information, I even got Discovery bank recently and use this as my main account. I'm an existing loyal client, who wants to reinstate without paying a joining fee.
Once I reinstate, you will be receiving more money from me which is my x2 kids membership fees.
I get the joining fee if I was a new client, but you all my info on your records, why now should I pay a R600 fee? Please explain.
