Just some advice

If you are planning on having a baby and you are with Discovery, change to another medical aid immediately. My wife went for her first visit to the gynecologist recently and the bill was R2300, Discovery only paid R776.70. It’s very disappointing because they could not even cover half and we all know specialist does not charge this little.

Discovery claims on their website “(Being pregnant is a very important time in a woman’s life, and a time when you don't want to worry about medical aid cover. With Discovery Health Medical Scheme, you have peace of mind that we offer you the best care)”. They left us with even more stress and what’s worse is that we found the gynecologist on their website.

This is a complete ******* and knowing that there are still many more gynecologist visits to come and the birth itself leaves a bad taste in my mouth. I really don’t see the purpose of medical aid if you going to have to pay for everything yourself anyway.
