Complete Incompetence

My debit order went off early- due to a "glitch" in discoverys system, not any fault of mine.

In fact they agreed that my forms clearly stated the 1st and had no idea why my debit went off on the 26th.

So my debit bounced.... I have been trying to get my R115 bounce fee back as it was not my mistake so I dont see why I should be paying for it.

I also requested a letter for my bank stating that the bounce was not due to error on my part as this issue will have a negative effect on my credit rating with the bank.

That was over 2 weeks ago...my broker has been mailing and calling them..... not a word.

And I find this level of service from such a "reputable" organisation absolutely DISGUSTING.

If I had shortpaid them..... they would have hounded me until they got their money and probably suspended my account coz how dare I not give them their money- well, how dare THEY not give me my money when the mistake was theirs and not mine.

After this I will be investigating other medical aid options- and spreading the word about how useless discovery is at correcting their mistakes.

And please undersrtand- the actual mistake is long forgiven, mistakes happen. What is nowhere near forgiven is they way they rather ignore me than reimburse me after admitting the fault was theirs. Just fix it.
