Close account and then get threatened by ITC!!!!!!
I cancelled my medical aid a few months ago with discovery, now I get a sms from ITC saying that I owe R1210.52 and have not once been contacted by discovery informing me of what this is for, or telling me it's outstanding. This is very embarrassing to have to call ITC and find out what's going on. <br> I will not recommend this Medical aid to anyone WORST SERVICE!!!<br>

As discussed, the Medical Savings Account (MSA) covers the cost of day-to-day expenses, such as visits to the general practitioner (GP) and to the dentist, as well as the cost for medicine.
Your contribution is fixed to a level that legislation allows. You have access to the full amount immediately, like a loan, and each month you contribute to the MSA through your monthly contributions. Should you withdraw your policy or change your plan during the course of the year and you have used more than you have contributed to the savings, there will be an amount owing to the scheme.
The amount owed to the Scheme is made up of the overspend on the MSA and claims that were reversed. I explained that letters about the outstanding debt were posted to you on several occasions. In addition, SMSs were sent to you as well. I apologise for you not receiving this communication.
I hope that my discussion with you provides clarity on the concerns you raised. Should there be any further queries you require assistance on, please do not hesitate to contact us directly.
