Classic Smart Plan - Misleading Information

<p>The Smart Plan brochure states that you are covered for one dental check up with a payment of R100 for the check up. The brochure does not state that there are no Smart Network providers to service this statement. Discovery do not mention that they will pay this benefit at 100% of the Discovery Health Rate. If you use the online "MAPS"tool to find a provider, you will not find any that are "fully covered". Be aware, that you are NOT covered and you WILL PAY more than R100 when using this benefit. Discovery will pay R213.80 for the oral examination MINUS the R100 payment from you. In effect, they will pay yuo back R113.80 for the oral examination. ICD code 8101. ICD 10 code 8109 and 8112 are experiencing problems at the moment. Discovery will NOT pay out on the X-rays and infection control done as part of the check-up until Mid-March (as of 21 February 2017). And even when they do the rates are pathetic and not what is advertised. R41.20 for infection control and R185.40 for the X-rays. The oral hygeine instruction (ICD10 code: 8151) is covered at R121.90. the ICD10 code 8352 for fillings is paid at R615.00 and seems to be the only code covered in full as advertised. I have requested answers and have been answered with dismissals and excuses - none of which are my problem. This plan is ********* and the wording in the marketing material is bait advertising. The product advertised is not the product recieved. </p>
