Chronic medication declined - changing reasons

I was diagnosed and hospitalized for major depressive disorder in January. I app**** to have my long term medication covered under the chronic medication benefit.

At first they declined and mentioned that my medication is not covered. I got a motivation letter from my doctor stating why she prescribed one medication over the usual. They responded to say that my disorder does not have psychotic symptoms so they cannot cover it.

I was not told that I first have to hallucinate for Discovery to cover my chronic medication.

Does the health ombudsman deal with such cases?
