Chronic illness dispute

Discovery won't pay for any medication even with my doctors insistence. Won't assist me in selecting generic versions that are on the formulary even though it should be covered. Now I find out from their own sales broker that my visit to my chronic specialist should of been covered and not taken off my plan. Called 3 times and keep being dropped or transferred. When an agent called...she was useless and rude. Can't even take my tablets because I pay so much for no cover. Useless

Hello makings,

Thank you for speaking to me.

As discussed, I confirmed you have been approved on the Chronic Illness Benefit (CIB). Medication approved on the CIB is subjected to the approved medicine formulary. In the event you are prescribed medication not on the formulary, this may be covered from CIB up to the Chronic Drug Amount (CDA). I confirmed that when you are approved for CIB you may be entitled for funding of additional treatment such as specialist consultations, blood tests, x-rays etc. I confirmed that your specialist visit was correctly processed and this was paid from CIB and not your Medical Savings Account. I sent you an email with confirmation of the processing of your claim and the options available to you regarding the funding decisions made on the CIB.

Kind regards
Bruce
