Requested list from Discovery as to which tests could be done for various approved medical conditions<br> took list to my Dr. who then prescribed the various blood tests - What a shock - they only paid R220 of a R956<br> account for various blood tests - The list sent has a column which says number of diagnostic tests we cover<br> and then ongoing management - I was told today that they only cover the items in the 1st column once in<br> the lifetime of the condition ( This doesn't make sense) My Doctor took tests based on this and now I have had<br> to pay because they are not covered - I spoke to two different people before I went for tests why didn't they<br> tell me that I wasn't covered in the first place - only after they have billed me do I get told I am not covered<br> for these tests. - I pay monthly subscriptions and have approval for Chronic Meds - which are also not covered<br> in full - No wonder Discovery Health make such a huge profit - suckers like me pay for their enrichment
