Chronic Benefit

I'm disgusted that Discovery denied my application for my Osteoporosis medication to be covered by the chronic benefit. The reason being Osteoporosis is not covered under my plan, Classic Saver. It's only covered under the higher plans. Osteoporosis is a chronic condition...surely it should be covered under all the plans? It's a typical case of "the rich get richer, and the poor get poorer" In other words, only those who can afford the higher plans will benefit. For me, who can't afford the higher plans must somehow find the money to pay for my medication, since my medical savings account is depleted. Well, I can't afford the medication which will lead me to discontinuing taking the medication. This most definitely goes against the ethos of Discovery who is always encouraging members to take care of their health. I have spoken to various people in the chronic department but my plight falls on deaf ears, no suggestions or possible solutions, not even an offer to escalate the matter. I'm just one of 3 million sheep in the flock...I feel like Discovery just don't care.
