Child will not be added on medical aid coz there's no marriage certificate of parents (customary marriage)

<p>Since the beginning of the year we are being sent from pillar to post by discovey consultant. My husband, main member, has been trying to add our son (not his biological child but mine) as a beneficiary on our medical aid. They initially asked for a an unabridged birthcertificate to prove that he was my son which we provided. Now they are asking for our marriage certificate. My husband and I are married according to customary law. The strange this is that they added me without asking for our marriage certificate. If I'm a beneficiary as a spouse and I provide the unabridge birth certificate to prove that the child is mine what else are you really trying to establish here? How about you commission a DNA test then to prove whatever it is you are trying to prove. We spend a fortune on this medical aid cover every month and you are going to give us this run around. I guess you no longer value us as clients and I shall start knocking on other doors.</p> <p> </p>
