Charge for an in-hospital account

In March 2016 my almost 3 month old son was admitted to NICU at Netcare Clinton Hospital where he was non-responsive for pneumonia. There is a Speech and Audiologist that is now sending us accounts for a bill to pay cash for when the baby was hospitalised for a week. According to her she says to me over the phone that is was for speech therapy but when my wife emails her, she says "Dear Mrs Tawakali This was not for speech or language-it was for feeding therapy Please call me directly[ ********** 894] I can explain exactly how I treat in Neonatal ICU[both Clinton and Mulbarton NICU] This was supposed to be part of in hospital treatment/payment yes. Thank you Sohana"

Now, my question to her was if the baby was almost 3 months old and non-responsive, how could they have done speech therapy when the baby was not talking at the time and secondly why were not informed about this procedure the way we were informed for every other procedure during all that whole week we were visiting the baby while in NICU?? I am astonished and baffled by this as it makes no sense to me or my wife and this Dr is not being clear on what she is charging for. Please find attached the statement she sent and can this be resolved and how? Can i be notified once it is resolved? Or of the process going forward? My guess is either they want to sponge me of money i do not have or she submitted the claim incorrectly.
