Can't wait to say goodbye to Discovery Health

I am so upset with Discovery Health today that I feel like vomiting. I am not a sickly person & if I go to the Dr 1x a year it is a lot! The ONLY medical needs I have is chronic meds for depression and anxiety which you do not pay in full anyway and going to the psyciatrist 2x a year to get a script for the meds & you do not pay for him either. I therefore have medical aid for when I have to go to hospital if I am in an accident (which I have also never been in) and I was okay with that up until today, but I have had it with you now! I am being treated like a 2nd class citizen who does not pay you every month and for expecting a service to be provided to me.

I phoned 13 Sept asking why there are claims I submitted as far back as last year via the Discovery iPad app is not showing as being processed or anywhere on your system. I was instructed to resubmit via email and then ask after it gets declined to have it reprocessed (ref# ********** 291). Today I am being asked for reference numbers from claims submissions dating Nov 2015 and Feb 2016 & April 2016 - I never received any, nor did I know I am supposed to and unfortunately I trusted your app and did not take a screenshot of the submission. The tools and facilities Doscovery makes available to their customers is something I used to trust but I am wondering now whether I should? Why did the first person who helped me on 13 Sept not ask me about reference numbers? I spent over an hour today on the phone speaking to 3 different people, every time having to tell my problem from start to finish. This is not my fault! I submitted all my claims on time and did as instructed by your consultant on 13 Sept and now I am being asked for reference numbers! WHAT IS WRONG WITH YOU?

This is not the first time I am so upset with Discovery that I want to vomit! I am still waiting for a call back from one of your supervisors from the 11th or 18th April due to an issue with my meds from December 2015. I had to get my meds urgently ONE DAY before I was allowed to but your stupid process to request meds for emergency travel needs a turnaround time of 5 days. My 78 year old mother had to have an emergency operation in Namibia where she stays and I had to fly the first thing the next morning. It was unplanned, not foreseen and completely unexpected. Long story short I paid cash for the meds and submitted the claim afterwards. You have not paid me because I was ONE DAY, not even a full 24 hours mind you, it was 8 hours and 18 minutes too early to get my meds according to Dicovery POLICY because God forbid I did not know 5 days prior that my elderly mother would need an emergency operation on her foot and that I needed to travel to Namibia to assist her. I called, I emailed you and called you again but every freaking time I have to tell the story from scratch to a different person that doesn't care. It is annoying man!

I am so sick and tired of your horrible service and inability to be a health partner to me - you only infuriate me! I cannot believe that you continuously disappoint and fail to deliver? You do not deserve my business or anyone else of your members'. I am paying MORE than I did with Bankmed (also managed by Discovery) and getting MUCH MUCH MUCH MUCH LESS than I did with Bankmed. You are ripping people off and doing it with a smile.

I absolutely hate Discovery Health and hope other members wake up to the fact that they are being ********** so Discovery Health can shut down this daylight******* scheme!!!
