Breast reduction declined

I had put in a motivation letter for my breast reduction as its actually classified as a medical condition not cosmetic i had attached my letter aswell as my doctors motivational letter. I got a email today stating its declined and all costs would need to be paid by me.. i had requested that i didnt need full financial assistance i needed a little bit of help even if it was just R5000 but i guess its just too much for discovery as its better to spend money on opening a bank and paying 0ff a new building..

I would just like to point out, that although Discovery Health sees this as just another cosmetic surgery, which they feel patients / clients, should pay for for themselves, I can assure you it's not easy living with big breasts that disrupts your whole lifestyle battling on a daily basis with back pain, bras that hurt you, bras that are expensive, clothes that dont fit and the list goes on.

Aftet being a loyal client for years i will be looking elsewhere as i do know other medical aids cover breast reduction if it's deemed a medical condition. .

Bye bye discovery
