Breach of contract

My wife VA Hendricks, was admitted in Ahmed Kathrada /Lenmed on the 1st of October 2018 and discharge on the 5 of October 2018

VA Hendricks, went for a colonoscopy doctors rooms got the authorization for my medical aid.

At no point of me being in the hospital or at the point of being admitted was I inform of any co-payment of the procedure.

In March 2019, 5 months after the procedure someone from Ahmed Kathrada/ Lenmed contacted me saying I owe the Hospital R4200 I have 3 months to pay it or will be handed over, I asked why do I owe and was only informed than there was a co-payment to be paid.

When I ask why was I not informed when I was admitted or before I was doing the procedure at Lenmed informed me that it is my medical aid responsibility to inform me.

I than called the medical aid an agent inform me they will request the recording if they find the agent that gave the authorization that did not inform who ever called for authorization the Discovery will have to pay.

She promised to call me back the same day with feedback ,she never did I called twice again and left messages got reference numbers for the calls I made.

She eventually called be back and said the agent did not informed the doctors receptionist that there was a co-payment ,but it was because she give her an authorization code for normal admissions code

I called the hospital again spoke to a case manager Dulsie she said she will get back to me which she never did. When my husband spoke to Dulsie, she escalated the matter to senior management and spoke to Anton head of department(case managers). Dulsie, told my husband she cant assist and Anton can assist but he could'nt just said we liable for payment.

This is pathetic, and will further matter to my attorneys.
