Billing for an ICU procedure.

My wife had hart problems ,chest pains and was short of breath on the 2de of September. I took her to emergency services at Eugene Marais and and after several hart tests xrays they admitted her to ICU. Dr Dannheimer then insisted that a Gastroscopi done on my wife after all other tests did not reveal to problem. She could not be discharged from ICU as her hard regularly went out of rhythm and the problem still was not discovered. Now discovery does not want to pay the full hospital account because of the Gastroscopi. I now have to pay the 3500 for the procedure that has something to do with life and death. We are still going through the trauma of almost losing her and still many tests being done as the problem is still continuing. The problem is that the procedure was not planned and should have been payed. She was in ICU where they do everything to save your live. Does Discovery by there actions mean that I should have let my wife die?
