Bi Polar PMB Waiting Period.

Dear Discovery,

I have been placed on a 12 month waiting period for specific conditions, and PMB for Bi Bolar Disorder and any associated issues have also been withheld.

I am now in a position where I cannot afford mental health care or medication, and paying a premium for a medical aid that does not cover my essential health care needs.

I am in need of mental healthcare, but placed in an impossible position. Surely it should be the priority of a medical aid to make provision for life threatening conditions? I can't even see my GP about this. I need medication, and I need to see a doctor. I'm dissapointed in medical aid priorities. What am I paying for? Why is it so hard to get help?
