Bad Credit report after retrenchment

I was retrenched at the end of October 2014 and my then employer cancelled my medical aid with Discovery. In December I was informed that I have used all my saving and now owe Discovery an amount. I explained that I was retrenched and could not pay back the monies until I was in a better financial position and will then settle outstanding amount. Today I received a text fro ITC that Discovery has handed me over which means my credit record has been *****ed. What p's me off is that not Discovery or my previous employer had the decency to contact me at time of retrenchment to explain that I would be liable for these outstanding monies.<br> I'm still unemployed and so much for finding a job with a bad ITC report from Discovery Health.<br> I have received a statement for dated 24 December2014 now in Feb 2015 so maybe the correspondence is on its way.
